This has been bugging me since I've watched the show, apologies if this is a long ramble and if there are any grammar mistakes!

So the Shiro from season 1-2 'dies'. Couple episodes into season 3 they find Kuron (Shiro's clone) believing that he's Shiro and so does the Clone. So we follow the group and the clone Shiro for 4 entire seasons.

While I was watching the seasons with Kuron, it seemed like Kuron was kinda just there. Sure he flew the black lion and did his leader stuff, but that's really it.

Episode "Postmortem" when the paladins are in that soul space or whatever, Kuron does not show up, indicating that he has no soul, so the real Shiro shows up instead. Later (I don't remember the episode) Kuron admits to Lance that he doesn't feel like himself. (I'll also go through this later) Then the episode "monsters & mana" happens were I really felt like Kuron had his own quirks and personality going on, he didn't really feel like some mindless just a pure copy of the actual Shiro.

Meanwhile there are scenes showing Kuron having a headache due to Haggar trying to control him and seemingly fighting it off. Then it happens, Haggar fully controls Kuron, he turns evil and attacks his friends and has a fight with Keith. Now when Keith said to Kuron (believing he was Shiro) that he loved him, Kuron stops for a second, but quickly returns back to his evil self. Then Keith cuts off the clone's mecha arm (that made Haggar control him) Kuron replies with "Keith" before I assume 'dying'. Keith then saves the body and puts it in the black lion, which we then get a scene of Kuron still breathing, which is just like glossed over, alright then. The paladins surround the clone's body all sad not for Kuron. Then Allura just pulls Shiro's soul out of the black lion and puts it into a still alive Kuron (I believe). Shiro then wakes up and everyone is happy.

What.

In the episode when we get introduced to Kuron there's a scene were one of the Galra checks his eyes and everytime his pupil dilated, there's a notable machinery sound. Does that mean Kuron is like half organic and half robot? Was this scene trying to tell us that Kuron isn't human?

Then that episode were he confides with Lance that he doesn't feel like himself. If we are supposed to believe that Kuron is evil and a thing as Shiro said, why did the writers include Kuron being very well aware that something is wrong. The clone was sentient, but why did they make Shiro dehumanize his clone?

The whole soul transfer happens which bothers me the most. So, did Kuron like die-die when Keith cut off his cyborg arm? Did they include the clone breathing to tell the viewers "Hey look, the body is still alive so Shiro can have it" The oddest thing is that Shiro doesn't even say anything about the clones memories, nothing. It's pretty much said that Kuron and Shiro merged. How tho? Kuron didn't have a soul or do they mean merged as in just Kurons body?

So my ultimate questios are:

Was Kuron ever sentient or were we supposed to believe that?

Is the Shiro that wakes up in season 6 the Shiro from season 1-2 or like a merged person between Kuron, so like a third Shiro?
