Central Post-Stroke Pain Syndome - What can be done?
My father suffered a hemorrhagic stroke in his thalamus in December 2024, followed by a heart attack in July 2025. Around September 2025 he developed severe pain in his groin/flank that he essentially left him bed-ridden since then.
He has had every single test/scan and nothing has come back with everything wrong, leading his doctors to eventually conclude that it's likely CPSP. He's tried pregabalin at a lower dosage, but that didn't work. He has chronic pain every single day and can't do anything.
I know there is no real cure for CPSP, but checking if anyone else has experienced this and found anything that helped. Thank you.
