Best way to smoothly transition into a warp stabilized shot?

I have a long take that I need to stabilize just a 5 second section of and warp stabilizer does a very good job of doing so, however, because of the weird crop it applies, I can't seem to smoothly transition into and out of that small section from the much longer shot. It would be awesome if warp stabilizer had a off/on parameter that I could key frame. there's an effect opacity key frame available, but that doesn't really work. Any advice of how to get this to work? or perhaps another solution?

Would this be a good upgrade for basic Davinci Resolve editing? I can upgrade the RAM to 32gb for no additional cost.

My friend is looking to upgrade from his laptop bought in 2020. He has an $800 budget. This comes in at $650 from Best Buy which he's happy about.

His current laptop specs:

- Ryzen 7 3700u

- 2gb RX Vega 10 Integrated Graphics

- 32gb DDR4 RAM (upgraded from 16 a few years ago)

I know the 3050 is old and was never a great value, but he doesn't game at all and really only wants this laptop for video editing. On paper it meets all the minimum system requirements for Davinci, though 6gb of vram is still not a lot and I've heard it's a gpu heavy program. He's not going to be doing anything major with fusion or the color page though and will use minimal video effects. He's mainly going to be making cuts on the edit page. If we rip the 32gb of ram out from his old computer and put it in this one, would this be a good option for him? I don't want to point him in a direction of something that will crap out on him in just a couple years, but with today's prices, I can't seem to find something better for his budget.

Working with editing partner using free version of Davinci Resolve while I use Studio?

Hi all. I own the studio version of Davinci Resolve 20 but I work with someone who's using the free version. He primarily puts together assembly cuts and doesn't mess with any sort of graphics, heavy effects, audio, or color grading. In our previous pipeline when working in premiere pro, I take his assemblies and then do all the fancy and more demanding stuff with premiere and after effects to get a first cut. Sometimes my cut is the final cut, but other times he likes to go back in and do some final adjustments. I'm assuming opening a project started in the free version in Studio wouldn't be an issue, but would there be any problems opening it back up on his computer after I've edited in Studio? From what I've gathered I know certain effects would be disabled, but would it lead to any major issues if he wanted to just make a few more edits? The plan is for the final export to always be on my machine as I have the more powerful computer.
