EPFO PF Transfer Stuck for 4+ Years — Amount Deducted but Never Credited

I raised an online PF transfer request back in 2022. Due to an incorrect EPS contribution issue in the destination PF account, the amount got deducted from the source account but was never credited to the destination PF account.

It has now been more than 4 years.

During this period, I have made multiple visits to both the source and destination EPFO offices and filed several grievances, but there has been no proper resolution. Eventually, I was informed that the source office first needs to “re-credit” the deducted amount and then re-initiate the transfer process.

About 3 months ago, I personally discussed the issue with a case officer at the source EPFO office. He mentioned that the re-credit process involves manual effort and should take a maximum of one month for the corrected amount to reflect in the destination account.

However, apart from a simple request form submitted as advised by the officer, I was not given any acknowledgement number, tracking reference, or official communication. Since then, I have been checking the EPFO portal regularly, but absolutely nothing has changed.

Honestly, this entire experience has been extremely frustrating. This is our hard-earned money, and if people have to struggle for years just to access or correct their own PF funds, it really shakes confidence in the system.

Has anyone here faced a similar issue?

Is there any escalation path that actually works in such cases?

How do you contact the assigned AO for Form 26QB correction requests? No email/details provided anywhere

I raised a correction request for Form 26QB, and through the TRACES “Track Correction Request” portal I could see that the request was assigned to an AO.

However, the request later got rejected with the reason:

“Failed to submit required documents within stipulated time.”

The problem is — I never received any email, call, or communication from the AO regarding where or how to submit the documents.

I also tried contacting the TDS CPC helpdesk through email and support channels, but haven’t received any response there either.

What I find confusing is that TRACES does not seem to show the assigned AO’s email ID or contact details anywhere. Without that information, how is the taxpayer supposed to submit the required documents?

Is there any proper way to find the assigned AO’s contact details/email ID for a 26QB correction request?

How do people usually handle this situation?

Would really appreciate any guidance from someone who has dealt with this before.
