ELOPEMENT GUIDANCE AND ADVICE

Hello, all! My fiancée and I (M29F29) are planning on eloping in 2027 in the Azores. Our birthdays are in August so we are looking at going to elope in august as well, making it all one trip! We are from Canada but don’t have any real family, so the group would consist of us, 2 siblings, and maybe 10 other friends with us! We are just beginning to start looking at what we can afford, what needs to be booked etc, and most importantly: which island(s) are best to elope on in terms of beauty, crowded vs not so crowded, etc. Should we look at changing our wedding date? Any and all useful advice is greatly appreciated! Thank you kindly!

What’s fun and free Victoria Day long weekend?

Hey all! We have a relative visiting next weekend from Scarborough. We also just moved to Markham near Major Mack and Markham Road a month ago. What are some fun, free-to-enter/do things that we can take them to check out during the Victoria Day long weekend? Indoor/outdoor doesn’t matter. I am also googling things but some first-hand suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Hello all. As the title suggests, my car insurance policy was cancelled for non-payment when I was at a low point in life. I’m slowly putting myself back together and am ready to start driving again. However, I did not realize HOW expensive insurance was going to be when I tried to find a nee provider. I worked with 2 different brokers, and they found a policy with more well-known providing like Aviva, Wawansea, etc but they want like $2500 upfront to cover 4-5 months of insurance, and then some $450-$500/mth thereafter. My old rate was only $150. I understand I made a huge mistake and maybe should have tried finding a cheaper provider earlier, or canceling the policy on my own accord before it became unaffordable. But I was wondering what those of you out there in similar situations did to find affordable insurance? Or am I truly so screwed for the next 3 years (how long a non-payment termination can follow your record for) that I’m looking at $5000-$6000+/yr for car insurance? Thank you in advance
