Am I the only one experiencing carriers giving out random numbers because they know the flatbed market is just *ss right now? Like how are you quoting me 8$/m for a lane which was 3$/m last year.

While motor carriers have gigantic capital investments, and huge monthly expenses, brokers reap the majority of the profits in our industry making calls from the comfort of an office, protected from the risks and realities.
They require minimal investment to enter into business, no real skin in the game, and when you compare to the efforts motor carriers this $hit just feels wrong.
I believe they should be more akin to real estate agents: transparency on what the customer is paying, and a set percentage commission for them.
What do yall think?
