▲ 14 r/braces

I've had my braces on for over 2 years from beginning of 2024, however I feel like my teeth don't look done yet. Some concerns I have are:

  1. My midline isn't in line with my cupid's bow (see image 1).

  • Maybe my midline wasn't perfect before, however I feel it the midline and my smile was much better before braces (see image 2). There are also big triangle gaps in my teeth that I don't like the look of (see image 7).
  • I feel like my midline shifted after my orthodontist put me on class 1 and 3 elastics. Image 3, 4, and 5 shows my teeth after a few months of braces (around July 2024) prior to using any elastics.
  • My orthodontist said they can either add something to my teeth in the back on the left to try and centre it, and told me my other option is getting veneers. Can anything be done to fix this? (maybe with elastics?) I feel like my orthodontist is gaslighting me. I really regret going to this orthodontist and wish I went to someone better.
  1. The curve of the top and bottom teeth are also quite uneven when I bite down (see image 6)

  2. It seems like my teeth don’t overlap as much (see image 7) compared to some of the photos I’ve seen online (see image 8 and 9). I’m also not sure if it’s related, but sometimes I feel like when I bite into some types of food with my front teeth, I’m unable to bite through and I need to physically rip the food away from my teeth (like a dog haha).

  3. Also are my teeth too straight? I feel like  they curve more to follow my lips when i smile? I can see too much of the bottom teeth (maybe this is also related to point 3).

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance!
