I've always had doubts about these two, and their support videos for Gaza didn't quite feel real to me. I find them to be opportunistic and hypocritical, criticizing Muslim countries for their lack of support for Palestine while they live comfortably in the USA and benefit from donations meant for Gaza.
A wake-up call for Muslims: it's time to be discerning about the influencers we follow and the sources of our knowledge. They risk perpetuating the same divisive narratives as Western media, tarnishing the image of Muslims and creating rifts within the Ummah. Let's be mindful of who we support and amplify voices that truly align with our values.
Also, please avoid donating to shady charities or fundraisers from influencers or creators. Donate to only who are genuine and will not rip you from your hard earned money.
