I have very dark, virgin hair. ive been considering getting tip dye hair recently since I style my hair every morning. my plan was to get my tips bleached/colored at a salon, then color the bleached hair temporarily every couple of weeks or so. is this a good plan? the thing that confuses me though is the actual dyeing at home--there are so many things like permanent hair dye, semi-permanent, toner, box dye, and I dont know what im supposed to use for what and how.
I think what im going for is the semi-permanent dye (no damage to the hair, temporary, washes out after a few washes) but there are other things like does my hair color match the recommended hair color of the box dye? would i go off of the color of my natural hair or the bleached hair? ive watched so many yt videos and I feel like i just confuse myself further. please help!!
edit: I wash my hair every day if that makes any difference, its also fairly short/medium length
