Shotgun course for new micron investors
Alright so. Micron, SK Hynix, Samsung all make Dynamic Random Access Memory Chips (DRAM). These DRAM chips are highly sought after by M7 for AI/ DC build out. Production costs to develop these chips have remained unchanged, while price has risen over 170% due to demand/ supply constraints. All of these companies have sold out there ENTIRE supply for 2026 (Kioxia holdings as well). DRAM is typically a cyclical market however the latest super rally (as predicted by Chris Miller in 2022) is proving that DRAM is no longer cyclical. SNDK produces NAND flash. This is also in high demand due to AI/ DC roll out. Now here is the part that a lot of new investors under look. Micron produces DRAM AND NAND. Yes, that's right. Micron is capable of creating the same technology that's put SNDK in the hot seat for the past 20 months. Microns market cap is a lot larger than SNDKs, but the demand for NAND is what im trying to highlight. Micron has purchased facilities in Singapore and are actively trying to expand there NAND business as well. Micron is just getting started. Hope this helps. On a side note another thing that I also think about is the development of AI powered autonomous weapons. Companies like Anduril and AVAV are creating AI/ Autonomous weapons that basically render old era technology (sonar, nuclear class submarines, F35s soon) effectively useless in combat (well, when fighting an AI/ Autonomous weapon). Micron is the ONLY US DRAM manufacturer. If the US starts to build more AI powered weapons (which I hope they dont but eventually will) they will likely want to use a US based company that's responsible for handling classified information like targets etc. I would love for someone to call me an idiot for thinking like this.
