We're getting a union! I think it's a bit unusual, in that it will include a very broad range of faculty, everyone from NTT at the small branch campuses, to TT at the giant main campus. The grad students also recently voted to unionize, in a different union.

I voted for it, but don't really know what to expect in concrete terms. It will be interesting to see how they balance the interests of their many constituencies.
