So I have level 3 equivalent qualifications and I was planning to do GCSEs maths and English just in case even though I already know that level of knowledge.

I am on gap year before I go into university(not confirmed if another path comes up) but I have been wanting to work in civil service i.e office work. I want to start a job and then work my way up so would that be possible?

Where should I start from? What technical skills would I need? e.g Excel, MS?

any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

I am on a gap year and planning to go to university next year in 2027. I will be doing foundation year(needed as I cant avoid it) along with 4 years of degree with placement included. The universities are outside London. I will be getting the maximum maintenance loan as I am on my own without financial support.

I did some rough calculations and the total comes out to be around £90k to £100,000 even without interest.

I really want to do Biomedical Science atleast but thinking about this much money that I would owe is making me anxious. I know the basic repayment method but what if a new government changes everything?

EDIT: Also, how everyone is mostly saying that being a BMS is harder than other medical careers as it is low paying and u have to go through any steps etc...

Any advice from those who have taken SF.
