I was paying $29/month for Mailchimp and kept hitting the contact limit. Did some digging and found Systeme.io has a completely free plan: 2,000 contacts, unlimited sends, automation included. No credit card required.

Been using it for 3 months. The UI isn't as polished but everything works. Automations are simpler to set up than Mailchimp honestly.
