Hi, geologist here looking for interesting nature/geology spots along the Erie Canalway trail and Hudson Valley Greenway trail. I’m biking from Syracuse to White Plains along them this summer. I’m willing to do some hiking to get to a cool area. Thanks!

Hi, does anyone know if there are currently working water pumps along the C&O and if so, if they are potable or need filtration first? Would a Lifestraw be enough filtration to drink the water? Thanks!
