Feeding question

So...Tangerine hasn't eaten since May 1st, which was when I bumped him to a small fuzzy. I tried twice, once a week after he ate - he didn't come out at all that night, even though he has been out every night before. He was out the next two nights so I tried again - same thing. Tried again last night. He came out last night and tried to eat. Twice. I'm not 100% sure what happened but it looked like he got substrate in his mouth and freaked out the first time and then the second it was already covered so of course that was too gross for him. Maybe it was too big? Do I treat it like a regurge and wait two weeks or just see how he is the next couple of nights and try something smaller?

I also purposely put it in a mat when I put it in there to avoid the substrate but you know snake....

We're obviously neglecting him...

The dejected look of a snake who's humans didn't leave him a fuzzy offering.

(Nevermind the fact that he never came out for the one left two nights before...or the one three nights before that)

"I'm going to come out and explore my surroundings every night except for when they leave me food"- Tangerine probably
