I (early 20s, male) am doing a certification course in security.
We have two trainers: the head trainer, who we’ll call **P**, is the head trainer. I get along with P and i have a professional and respectful working relationship with her. However, the second trainer, who we’ll call **V**, does most of the floor teaching while **P** is in the office. The problem is **V** is a completely different person when the boss isn't around. She’s been belittling people the whole course, but what happened Friday was the final straw for me.
I’ve been having some health issues lately that mean I have to use the bathroom more often. On Friday, I had a flare-up and ended up using a staff restroom because it was closer. I know I was in the wrong there and I’m happy to take the hit for using the wrong facilities.
But **V** actually followed me. She knocked on the door while I was still in the stall and started lecturing me through the door about being in there. She stayed right outside, waited for me to finish, and then kept berating me the second I stepped out, saying I was "damaging the company's reputation."
Being cornered and lectured while literally mid-use felt humiliating and completely unprofessional. **P** is always in the office, so she has no idea **V** is even doing this stuff.
I have 5 days left until my final assessments. I have an email drafted to **P** about the bathroom incident and the general bullying, but I’m stuck on whether I should send it and if so, when do I send it?
