I’m on the verge of giving up on my program, civil engineering. nawalan na yung spark ko sa path na ‘to. i used to feel like I belonged here when I had my OJT at DPWH noong senior high school. But now, I’m about to finish my first year and move to second year, and I feel really discouraged. Because of the issues I’ve heard about DPWH, how highly competitive this profession is, and how low the salary of engineers is daw, I keep hearing negative things that are affecting me. At first, wala talaga akong planong mag-engineering. Business degree talaga gusto ko, but because of DPWH, I suddenly decided to take engineering. Kasalanan ko rin naman yun. Pero ngayon, I’m planning to shift course, but I’m scared to confront my parents. I feel lost. Should I shift course, or do I need to just be practical in life?
