Selecting a Topic
About a week ago, I started a channel to document my process of increasing my productivity. I planned to make daily posts showing what I did that day to be productive.
I'm already feeling discouraged. The numbers aren't great, and I feel like it has to do with the topics of the videos. They're pretty standard, run-of-the-mill vlogs where I talk about my productive efforts of the day. I understand that's a boring concept, but for the point of the channel—holding myself accountable publicly—I need to stick to that.
What would you guys recommend I change to gain more attention? I'm planning some more typical videos explaining tips and tricks and my experience behind different productivity methods, but as for my daily videos, what should I do? Do I switch to Shorts, GRWM style? Those are highly competitive which makes me think no.
My CTR is abysmal, ~1-2%. My videos are boring because I live a mostly boring life, but I strongly believe that I need to keep posting. How do I get people interested in watching some kid do his homework?
I need to get stuff done and this past week has been my most productive in months. Whenever I'm mindful of what I'm doing and what I need to get done for my video, it motivates me like no other. But I WANT to have an audience there to watch me. I want a community.
My most recent long-form video I believe is my highest quality, yet it is performing the worst. If you guys have any changes in mind that would still maintain me keeping up with my daily tasks, I would greatly appreciate them. Thank you.
