I am a study abroad student from the US currently living in Florence, Italy. One of my main driving factors for choosing Italy was to have the chance to explore the Dolomites, however I did not do enough research and have seen it isn't really possible in the time frame I have here. I am looking for somewhere to hike in Europe (preferably Italy if possible) that is fairly accesible by public transport and isn't covered in snow. I would say I am a moderately skilled hiker and would like to find an area with a decent peak to summit (2000 m or so). I apologize if this is a poorly made post its my first time posting on reddit so bear with me lol.
