Never thought I’d be the one giving prep advice to juniors instead of just stressing over my own prep 😭, but after this whole journey, I genuinely wanted to share this for 2027 aspirants preparing for IPMAT, CUET, JIPMAT, or honestly any aptitude-based exam.
One mistake I made initially (and many people still make) was collecting too many resources. Different books, PDFs, Telegram materials, random YouTube playlists , it just creates anxiety because you feel like you’re studying everything but completing nothing properly.
What actually helped me improve was simplifying my preparation. That’s where AfterBoards genuinely helped me a lot. Not even exaggerating, the biggest benefit wasn’t just the content, it was the direction and structure. Daily RCs, vocab/idioms flashcards, mock analysis, resources in one place, and overall consistency in prep. And Bhavesh bhaiya’s guidance deserves a separate mention honestly. The advice always felt practical and realistic instead of fake “study 15 hours a day” motivation. It made prep feel manageable.
Last year I got rejected by IIM Jammu, and this year the mindset completely changed. I even converted IIM Bangalore this year, which honestly still feels unreal to say 😭. From getting rejected by IIM J last year to reaching a stage where even filling the JIPMAT form this year didn’t feel scary anymore, the confidence shift has been huge. My IPMAT and CUET results are still yet to come, but I can confidently say one thing that I’ll definitely perform much better this time because of the habits and consistency I built during this journey.
At this point I probably sound like AB’s PR guy :( (Bhavesh bhaiya if you’re reading this, hire me anytime hehe), but genuinely speaking, the experience has been worth it for me. And if you can afford AfterBoards, I’d genuinely recommend checking it out once. It helped me way more than buying multiple random courses ever did.
All the best to every 2027 aspirant. Trust and enjoy the process & keep going!!
