How do people organise their library. I've been organising mine by genre for the most part with the exception of some by record label if I have a large amount of tracks from a certain label. However with some genre's the lines can be blurred and this can be difficult to decide on which folder to put them in.

Another issue I've found with this approach is my folders have so many tracks in them that when I add new ones they can kind of get lost and forgotten in the mass of music.

I was thinking of maybe starting to add new music to a dated folder which would make it easier to locate recently downloaded tracks.

Is anyone else using this approach and if so, how do they find it? If not, what approach do you take to library organisation?
