I just finished Mask of the Plague Doctor, which I had purchased years ago and never got around to read. Amazing game, 10/10, would play again. One of the things I liked the most is that my character got to be a self-serving bastard who looked out for themselves and got away with everything (not giving details because I don't want to spoil, IYKYK). Are there any more games like that? The only other example that comes to mind which I already read is the Creme de la Creme series
