Salut tout le monde!

I’m a dev and a French learner, and I got tired of having to stop my flow every time I saw a word I didn't know.

I built a small iOS app for myself that makes it way faster. Basically, you copy a word/phrase from Safari, Netflix, or whatever, and the app uses AI to instantly build a study card with the translation, a simple explanation, and examples.

I've been using it for a week, but I want to know if it's actually helpful for other people or if I'm just over-engineering a problem only I have.

I’m looking for a few people to try the TestFlight and tell me:

  • Does the app actually feel useful once you start adding cards?
  • Do you actually like the cards it builds, or is it missing something critical?

I want to know if this is a worthwhile project to keep building or if I should move on.

Let me know if you want to try it out and I'll drop the TestFlight link in the comments! (I don't want to spam the main post).

Hey guys,

I’ve been working on this iOS app called ClipLearn. The idea is basically a "Save to Study" button for your phone.

I’m a language learner and I realized I see tons of cool words when I’m scrolling Reddit or watching Netflix, but I never actually save them because switching apps to make a card in Anki is a massive pain.

In this app, you just copy the word and it uses AI to instantly build a card with the translation, a simple explanation, and some example sentences.

Honestly, I’m trying to figure out if this is a worthwhile project or just a "cool for five minutes" thing. I haven't added payments or any of that yet because I don’t want to waste time if the core idea doesn't stick.

If you have a second to try the TestFlight, let me know:

  1. Does the copy-paste flow feel too slow?
  2. Would you actually pay like $2/mo for this?
  3. Is the AI stuff actually helpful or just fluff?

Brutal honesty is fine, I'd rather know now if I should keep going or pivot.

Hi everyone, I'm a PM and a language learner. I've been struggling with the "manual labor" of moving words from Safari or YouTube into Anki.

To fix this, I'm working on a small utility that uses AI to instantly turn a copied word into a card with context and examples.

I'm looking for some feedback from the community:

  1. For those who've tried AI tools before, do you find AI-generated examples are usually accurate enough for your study?
  2. From a workflow perspective, do you find the "copy-paste to generate" method handy enough, or is it still too much friction?

I have a TestFlight build ready if anyone wants to actually try the workflow and tell me if it feels useful. Let me know in the comments if you'd like the link!
