My wife just noticed that around the time that she informed her supervisor that she will be going on maternity leave soon, she has gotten double the number of patients on her schedule. It’s been going on for a few weeks now, and she originally chalked it up to them losing a couple of coworkers recently. However, she just checked her coworkers’ schedules out of curiosity, and they are all getting 10-15 patients each per day while she has been getting 30.
We joked a few times that this was the company trying to get their money’s worth out of her, but now we are wondering if this could be considered a form of retaliation. Thoughts? Anything we should watch out for that could also signal retaliation?
