Struck through error

I think this quarter was struck through something on the obverse, but after looking at other examples I genuinely cannot tell what it could have been struck through, or honestly if it’s even an error. Apologies if it’s just pmd, but any help is appreciated!

I’m working on putting together a notebook that contains everything I need to look for to make it easier to search, and possibly to pass on to my nephew if he decides to pick up the interest! Anyways, I’m looking for a reliable source to use for “key dates” and errors and such, and I can’t seem to find a good source (I’m being told 1964 nickels are key dates). Any help is greatly appreciated!

Jefferson nickels were the first coins that I started collecting, almost fifteen years ago now. When my mom moved back in with my grandparents, my grandfather let me help him look through everyone’s pocket change. Eventually he took me out and got me a few nickel folders, and once he knew I enjoyed it he got me some penny folders. We used to spend hours sitting at the dining room table looking through change he found at work, whatever he decided to get from the bank, and regular purchases. Now seeing how close I am to finishing it (other than future years) it just made me think about when we used to sort coins.

No real purpose for the post so it can be taken down if needed, just wanted to share a story. But I do feel like there’s a whole lot of us out there who share a story similar to mine. Appreciate your grandparents everyone!
