hi dokies! i'm currently considering mapua som and uerm as my options for med. i'd like to ask for ppl's inputs bc torn ako between both options </3
i'm not sure kasi if i'd thrive in uerm, given the hybrid setup and heavy weight ng exams sa final grade, kaso paascu-accredited and reliable reputation niya, which makes it a viable option. uerm grads are also known to excel once working na in the hospital, and i know a handful of profs who graduated from uerm na magaling din sa academe (which is something that i want to do as a part-time job in the future din). mas guaranteed na ROI ko sa career if i go here, pero i'm not sure about what my QOL would be like while i'm studying pa.
on the other hand, mapua is relatively new but mas ok quality of life niya, with f2f classes and a self-study (?) day. the faculty having doctors from upcm, slmc, and uerm sound promising to me because i'm applying to slmc and uerm as well right now, plus slmc's mental health friendly dean being in mapua right now is pretty convincing (since may gad ako, pero manageable naman). kaso bago pa lang siya and i'm not sure how i'd do well after graduating :< i'd like to really work abroad sana and i'm not sure if i can do that if i graduate from mapua.
any insights and thoughts from anyone and students from both schools would be appreciated. thanks dokies!
