Hey everyone. I am looking to pursue ML infrastructure engineering and am torn between accepting UBCO and U Alberta.

UBC Vancouver is of course the best overall but the risk of not making CS is too great for me. U Alberta seems to have overall better course offerings than UBCO does for this career path, but my understanding is that either UBC campus will still carry more weight on a resume.

Especially with the possibility of transferring to UBC Vancouver with a fallback of staying at UBCO if I don't make Vancouver's CS cut, UBCO seems rather enticing to me if the reputation is still as much better as I believe.

What are your thoughts? Am I overestimating the two schools' differences in reputation or in education relevance/quality?
