Hi, I found oil residue on the starter motor of my 2016 X5 with N57 engine. I’m assuming it is unlikely for the starter motor itself to be leaking, so it must’ve been from the transmission. There are no oil from the oil pan or transmission pan. Could it be from rear main seal?
