I have the soil for the split between sand and soil for my sand boa, but what exact sand is safe? I see so many and people just say play sand but can I have links? Reasons? I’m confused on which one to get and wanna make sure my boy is safe

Trying to get away from aspen and get something else. I see everyone say 50/50 play sand and a top soil? Could someone please explain what they use, where they get it (especially the cheaper but just as useful stuff,,, not trying to break the bank), and just anything else that would be of importance. Thanks!
