Well, I don't want to spam this sub, so this will be the last post, I promise. After your feedback, I scraped my old blurb and made two new revisions as well. With that being said, I am sharing with you all three versions (my old revision and the two new), asking for your opinion and if any hooks you at all. Thank you for your time and for being patient with me, hehe 😊

So here we go:

1-The world is in ruins, and in the last stronghold of civilization, a deadly curse claims the young before their time. For centuries, a cure has remained out of humanity's grasp. Left with no choice, the Lords now must rule with an iron grip, seeking to forge from steel a new generation capable of rising against the menace. Welcome to the Game!

Faoros, a prodigious science student, is stifled by the Lords' suffocating leadership. Eager to fulfill his dream of eradicating the Curse and finally living without fear, he enters the Game. But he is woefully unprepared when a sentient simulation approaches him from the shadows. It offers him the power to manifest his thoughts into reality and to reveal the terrifying truth behind the Lords' ultimate purpose.

2-In the last city of a ruined civilization, an ancient curse claims the young before they reach adulthood. Unable to find a cure, the Lords created the Game, a simulated representation of history, hoping the new generation might find wisdom in the mistakes of the past.

Faoros, a curious science student, enters the Game determined to break the Curse, but trouble has a way of finding him. When confronted by a simulated woman who is fully aware of the outside world, Faoros realizes this fake reality hides his society's darkest truths.

3-In the remaining city of a fallen civilization, an ancient curse claims the young before they come of age. Desperate for a cure, the ruling Lords engineered the Game, a simulation of the past world, built in the hope that a future generation might find wisdom in the mistakes of their ancestors.

Driven to end the age of fear, a curious science student named Faoros enters the Game to break the Curse, but trouble has a way of finding him. Faced with a simulated woman who knows the truth about the real world, Faoros discovers that this fabricated reality conceals the Lords' darkest secrets.

Hello everyone!

So I have been going along with my blurb for about two months and I finally realized that there is a chance that its simply bad, hehe 😅 So, as a new author, I thought I would make a few changes and then ask for your fair judgment. So here we go!

My blurb:

The world is in ruins, and in the last stronghold of civilization a deadly curse strikes down the young and steals their lives. For generations, the cure has been out of their grasp. The Lords must now forge from steel the new generation to rise up against the menace. Welcome to the Game of Life.

Faoros, a prodigious science student at the Academy, is baffled by its suffocating leadership. Eager to fulfill his dream of eradicating the Curse and freeing himself from the Lords, he enters the Game. However, he is woefully unprepared when a sentient simulation approaches him, offering him the power to bring his imagination to life and to reveal the truth about the Lords' ultimate purpose.

My revised version:

The world is in ruins, and in the last stronghold of civilization, a deadly curse claims the young before their time.

PS This is a blurb for a standalone novel which I will finish next month, so I never bothered much with revising what I thought a decent blurb. I just went all out writing my next novel. Still, it occurred to me that I should probably try to get a bit more experience and a few opinions before I have to write the blurb for my next book. Perhaps this way I will do better next time!

Just got what I consider my first "satisfying" comment! Growth was slower the past days for my lil story so this made my day. What about you fellow authors? What was the latest comment that made your lips curl up a bit? It's the time to share them!

Hello everyone!

Next week marks the finale of arc two and I am entering the finishing line for my first standalone story (60k words out of 100k)! There is a nice handmade cover which I did my best to create (don't be very harsh about it) and I have embraced my cute logo (it got its own backstory but this is not the time and place)! With that being said, I am a new author starting a series of novels set in the same universe (think of the Cosmere by Brandon Sanderson as the magic system varies between books).

With that being said, the first arc, Trails of a Raven, is already out (about 35k words) and we are going strong with the second one named Game of Turbulence (one more chapters to go)! I would love to see you at my lil tale to discuss the plot, my effort in creating a cover and my beautiful commissioned penguin! It's really beautiful, come have a look!

For anyone interested, the blurb:

The world is in ruins, and in the last stronghold of civilization a deadly curse strikes down the young and steals their lives. For generations, the cure has been out of their grasp. The Lords must now forge from steel the new generation to rise up against the menace. Welcome to the Game of Life.

PS I have managed to add it to Goodreads for anyone wishing to include this tale on his reading challenge 😊

Hello everyone, first post in this sub!

I am in the process of beginning writing my third book and thought of trying something along the broader definition of Isekai. Truth be told, I have mainly consumed any Isekai anime thrown my way but I never really bothered to actually search if there are any strict lines on what's defined as one. So, my questions are the following:

If the MC isn't isekaid but instead he summons a character that was isekaid, then does it actually counts as one?

And my second question is:

Is it Isekai if the main character is isekaid from a fantasy world to another fantasy world?

I am confident my questions are a bit stupid but I always considered everything that followed the concept of "leaving X world to live in Y" as isekai. Drifters, Ishura and anime like them were isekai in my mind soooo I thought of asking you all if those two concepts count as Isekais. Thank you for having me and excuse my ignorance!
