Okay so I genuinely don't understand the point of values at ALL. The game was made so players could have fun and get all the pets they want ,without having to give a kidney and a leg for them. And the pets randomly skyrocketing e.g Haetae, Jekyll Hydra, Cabbit, Grim (though now dropped) all due to manipulation or the value site Elvebredd. Elve seems to be manipulating and controlling values a lot. For example the Cryptid, the images show a trade I did for a Cryptid, and when I first did it it was a L. Now two days later, it's a win by 5.5!
