Being an intellectual feels like a curse

Maybe some of you other Christian’s can help me see this, maybe even some intellectual Christians here can comment their thoughts.

I feel like being an intellectual person is a curse; hyper analyzing everything. Data harvesting (reading a ton of books), developing social skills and social cues late because my brain is wired differently.

I don’t want to play a victim either as I have been talking to my Christian brother (we will call him by the name “Jason” which is not his real name) who has been saying you can work on it, change it and I believe the growth mindset, but trying to mature with a hyper analytical brain is a curse in my view.

God made me this way I suppose. Praise God for whatever intelligence I have, but I want to be “street smart” not “book smart”.

Being “book smart” is fun, until you realize that being “street smart” sounds more fun if you can connect to the average person better.

I love knowledge, but would rather not have my brain be so “black and white” or “wooden”, or so “literal”.

Being a “nerd” has pros and cons, and the cons SUCK.

Thoughts on how to live and change things as an intellectual?
