Hi everyone! I’m seeking advice regarding my business registration. I’m currently working in South Korea and setting up a small home-based sari-sari store in Sta. Maria, Bulacan.

Current Status:
• Business Name: Aliyah Sari-Sari Store (Sole Proprietor)
• Registered with DTI and already have a BMBE Certificate of Authority
• My sibling is processing permits on my behalf via Authorization Letters

Questions (specifically for those familiar with RDO 25 – Sta. Maria):

  1. BIR Registration (Form 1901)
    Since I’m an OFW, is it possible to submit my application via email or online? Or is personal appearance (through my representative) still required?

  2. BMBE & EOPT Law
    With the Ease of Paying Taxes (EOPT) law, how is the 0% income tax exemption applied for BMBE businesses? Are there updated procedures in RDO 25?

  3. Proof of Place of Business
    The store will be located on property owned by my parents. Is a signed “Consent to Use Property” letter sufficient, or do they require a notarized lease contract even for family-owned property?

  4. Signatures & Documents
    Will RDO 25 accept scanned/printed signed documents since I’m currently abroad, or are original (wet signature) documents strictly required?

  5. Invoicing / Authority to Print
    Since “Official Receipts” are now replaced with “Invoices” under EOPT, can the Authority to Print (ATP) be processed online, or does my representative need to handle it directly at the RDO?
