So the title kind of speaks for itself. 😂 I'm just looking for something part time or full time working in a small woodshop. If you need an assistant I'm your girl! I've been learning wood carving and woodworking for awhile now (from my dad) but I really would love to do an informal apprenticeship with someone who can expand my knowledge. I'm 29-F and can work Tuesday through Friday preferably from around 9AM- 2PM while my kids are still in school. Once they're on summer break I can work whenever Tuesday through Friday. I'm really wanting to get into detailed work, like making furniture, tables, custom pieces. (I've helped my dad make tables, cutting boards, etc. and I also do a lot of Dremel carvings) But I would really love to learn more. I'm not asking for a lot pay wise I just want enough to make sure I have gas to get to an fro and a little to help with bills. If you're interested in taking on someone a couple to a few hours a week and get some help around your shop please feel free to message me. 🙂

I’ve been thinking seriously about moving to West Virginia, and I keep coming back to this idea I wanted honest opinions on.

What would people think about a small shop where local artists/crafters could rent affordable booth space to sell their work, almost like a tiny handmade marketplace? Not just selling in store, but also helping connect people to the artists own Etsy shops/websites/social media so customers could keep supporting them directly.

I'm from indiana, but I've always thought that WV was beautiful and deserved to have the beauty showcased. I just make small wood carvings and walking sticks, but I'm sure there are people out there that do amazing things and could benefit from having a store front to show off their pieces. I just don't want to step on anyone's toes. Any opinions, negative or positive will be greatly appreciated. ❤️
