I made PDFBake, a privacy first web suite to manage, edit, and convert documents and images. No paywalls, no shady data storage.

Hey everyone,

Like a lot of you, I’ve always found the process of doing quick document conversions and edits incredibly frustrating. You search for something simple like "compress image" or "merge PDF," and you end up on a site cluttered with ads, hidden paywalls, or worst of all questionable privacy policies where you aren't sure if they are storing your sensitive files.

I wanted a tool I could actually trust, so I decided to build my own.

Enter PDFBake (Link: https://www.pdfbake.com ).

It’s a comprehensive suite of online tools designed to make document and image management simple, fast, and completely accessible.

Here is what I focused on while building it:

  •  Privacy-Oriented: This was the biggest priority. You shouldn't have to worry about your personal or professional documents lingering on a server.
  •  Fast & Accessible: No clunky interfaces or unnecessary steps. Get in, process your file, and get out.
  •  Comprehensive Suite: It’s not just a one-trick pony. I wanted a single hub that handles both document processing and image management smoothly.

Building this has been an incredible learning experience as a developer. I really wanted to focus on creating a clean, modern user experience that respects your data and your time.

I’m still actively working on it and would absolutely love your feedback.

  • What document/image tools do you find yourself needing the most?
  • Are there any features you feel are missing?
  • Feel free to roast the UI/UX!

Thanks for taking a look!
