Hi everyone,
I wanted to share my situation regarding the SURPAVE Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Programme (2026 intake) and hopefully get insights from people who have experienced similar cases.
I was officially selected as one of the top candidates for the SURPAVE program and I was also awarded a scholarship (1 of 9 offered). However,
What’s Making Me Anxious
SURPAVE was rejected in a previous funding cycle (2025)
This is not their first attempt so there is a real possibility of rejection again
They are already selecting and accepting students
Even without confirmed EU funding so they can still continue the programme esp to those who were offered for a self funded
Transparency on probability
No clear data on how likely approval is after rejection
If anyone here has experience with Erasmus Mundus or similar programs:
a. How common is it for a program to be rejected one year, then approved the next?
b. If a program already shortlisted students, does that mean they’re confident in funding approval?
c. Are conditional offers like this a good sign or just standard procedure?
d. What happens if funding is rejected?
