My 2013 Nissan Rogue is due for a cvt fluid drain & fill, and the shop uses Idemitsu CVT fluid (n3 for ns-3). The fluid's been changed before with Nissan NS-3. Obviously, they know more than this weekend warrior. I'm just wondering when mixing wouldnt be the best option. The car has 60k miles and is long out of warranty. The transmission runs fine, no issues.

I've read many comments about "Nissan fluid only," but have yet to find actual occurances where mixing with a specific cvt fluid like Idemitsu N3 (or Eneos N) caused issues.
