Best way to get from Narita to Osaka same-day arrival? (Land at 3:25 PM)
Flying into Narita on Oct 8 at 3:25 PM and want to head straight to Osaka the same day. I've been to Tokyo before so I'm doing Osaka first, then Kyoto, then ending in Tokyo since I fly out of Narita on the 21st and flight leaves at 11am.
What's the best/fastest/way to get from Narita to Osaka same day?
Options I'm considering:
Shinkansen route Narita Express to Tokyo Station, then Shinkansen to Shin-Osaka (~$120 total, ~5 hrs door-to-door)
Domestic flight: Transfer to Haneda, fly Peach/Jetstar to Osaka. I see fares as low as $40 but I've heard bag fees and the Haneda transfer kill the savings.
Something else I'm missing?
Factoring in customs/immigration time after landing, am I going to even make it to Osaka at a reasonable hour? Last Shinkansen out of Tokyo Station is around 9 PM I think.
Anyone done this exact route before? Appreciate any advice on what actually works vs what looks good on paper.
