Well the most obvious reason one can come up with is religion ofc. But I know so many progressive muslims who dont hold any prejudice towards homosexual or trans people. So clearly religion is not the whole part of the story. The second main reason, in my opinion, is lack of knowledge or awareness. I recently had an argument with uzbek people who are self-proclaimed pro science people. (the argument happened in a science based groupchat). But they didnt even know that sexual orientation is fixed and smth people can not choose or change. They kept confusing sexual orientation identity (which is smth that can change during the period of one's life) with sexual orientation. No matter how many evidence I provided, they werent convinced by even wikipedia. They were still wishing death upon all LGBTQ+ followers AND even supporters. Thats quite an agressive behavior and there were dozens of people who were agreeing with this idea. I wonder why? Any opinions?

So I feel like there is no like minded people around me, therefore I feel like an outcast in an environment i ve been ever since I was born (Im 17m). I want some friends who I have some common grounds with. We can start out chatting online and if we r a good match, we can meet irl and plan sum activities idk

Abt me:

Im 17, Im in 10th grade. I m currently working as an english teacher. I got an 8 in IELTS at 15. I m not really into any uzbek content or memes cuz I ve been in an english environment online ever since I was 12. So If u wanna talk abt uzbek memes, im afraid we r not a good match. Im currently learning korean cuz I wanna continue my further education in S.Korea. So I ve been trying to dive into korean culture a little bit. I never watched kdramas nor listened to kpop untill 2026 december. I watched around a dozen of kdramas and tried to explore sum kpop. ( So far I only actively listen to cortis, other groups seem mid at max for me). But there werent a lot of groups that I tried to dig into, maybe u can recommend some if u end up becoming friends. And Im also open minded person. Idc abt ur sexual orientation, gender identity or even ur lets say clothing style or whatnot. The most important thing is being able to find some common ground and get along with each other.
