So in the market for a new car… current vehicle is tanking so have to make a decision quick but would like to avoid buyers remorse.

Wants
- Small / mid size SUV
- NO CVT
- Decent pep/horsepower(coming from a v8 truck so not sure I’ll love downgrading to a dinky 4 cylinder) turbo or v6 preferred
- Ideally under $40k
- Reliable
- Decent mpg (used to 18-19 mpg so anything better than that)
I’ve noticed interest rates on used vehicles are so bad that it almost makes more sense to buy new with special interest rates, plus full warranty.
I thought the Mazda CX50 Turbo was my answer but I thought the seats were terribly uncomfortable and I didn’t find the infotainment system very intuitive…

I believe other options were the Hyundai Tucson, Kia Sportage, Chevy Equinox (awd has no CVT), Chevy Blazer, Jeep Grand Cherokee

Is there any that I might be missing?
