I recently read {The Painter’s Daughter by Julie Klassen} and LOVED it. She gets pregnant by a nobleman taking lessons from her father, he leaves, his military and stoic brother comes and offers to marry her to save her reputation and it’s just SO GOOD. The sexual tension… I just can’t 😂 I will say it would probably be considered closed door as it is a Christian book, though many in the Christian community thought it was too risqué for them, so it kind of rides that line.
I am would love to read more arranged marriage or whatever this trope is called. I will say, I don’t love spice/explicit. This book was perfect for me, but I wouldn’t want too much more.
Thank you in advance for recommendations!
