mechanical engineering at college of staten island

i’m graduating high school this year and got a offer from csi for their mechanical engineering bachelors program. i wanted something affordable and close to home since i live in brooklyn. i always wanted to major in mechanical engineering but am scared to go to csi for it. what would getting a job look like or getting a internship during my time there. i want to know if it’s a good college for someone who wants to make it far in mechanical engineering.
