Running outerwear and gear from small/cottage companies - what’re your favorites?

I’m a big proponent of supporting small companies and fair wage work practices but I don’t know of many in the running space. What’re your favorites? Outerwear, shoes, vests/belts, etc etc etc

I’m looking to create a half caf blend. Something that is versatile on filter and drip and pulls a good espresso shot. Probably a medium roast. Planning on roasting the caf and decaf beans separately of course and “blending” after roasting. Looking for info on combining maybe something chocolatey with something fruity? Also of course wanting to hide any decaf taste but I feel like decafs have gotten pretty good these days. I’ve also heard of people blending lighter and darker roasts, interesting. Looking to keep it simple at this point.

I bought a kaleido m1 at the beginning of the year to try out coffee roasting and it’s been great. I’m having trouble keeping up with orders, I mean 3 roasters per bag doesn’t take much to not be able to keep up. The idea was never to keep up with orders with this little guy but i think it’s time to graduate to something larger. My original thought was to buy the m10. Thought it’d be a good size and an easy transition, I’m also happy with the support I’ve gotten from kaleido. The m10 is 1.2 kg at $2750. I’ve also recently came across the yoshan DY-2kg for $3600. Seems like people recommend always going bigger. Thoughts on size? Thoughts on the yoshan vs the m10? Other roasters to look at?

Figured I’d make a post since H1s have been so recommended. About 150 miles in and have been overall happy. Recently I’ve been training some hiking with them and they are absolutely shredding my Achilles. Any solutions besides taping?

I’m reading the book Kopi Dulu. Great read for those who haven’t and I would love to get a taste of what he is experiencing in the book. We’re a couple flying into Bali. Only there for two weeks but would like to get off the beaten path. We gravitate more towards less populated areas. Would greatly appreciate any suggestions! We’re also quite fit currently so some significant hiking or overnight hiking would also be cool as long as it’s not overly riddled with tourists. Appreciate y’all! Oh and I also roast my own coffee so a coffee/coffee farm element would be very cool :)

Last week during my long run (20 mi), my calf was very tight towards the end of the run. Later during the week, I got a cramp in the same calf surfing. Did a long run on the weekend and my calf got very tight again. Went on a steep hilly run this week and it tightened up around mile 5. This week and next week are peak weeks where I should be doing 20-25 miles for the long run. I’ve missed long runs in the last month so I don’t want to totally skip the long runs but it doesn’t seem to be getting better. Maybe go for a fast hike instead? Bike? I have 4mm heal lifters, maybe they will help. There’s no pain so maybe okay to test out a long run?
