I’ve been trying to figure out the competition level for the MSQE (Master of Science in Quantitative Economics) this year, but I can't find the official number of applicants/test-takers anywhere.

A couple of questions for the seniors or anyone who has been tracking this:

• Does ISI usually release the total number of candidates who appeared for the exam in the final results/merit list?
• If they don't, does anyone have a solid estimate based on previous years?

Regarding an RTI: If this info isn't made public, is anyone interested in filing an RTI to get the breakdown? I think it would be helpful for all of us to know the selection ratios and the cutoff trends more clearly.

If there’s enough interest, maybe we can coordinate so we don’t file ten different requests for the same thing. Let me know what you think!
