CarPlay causes Internet services to slow down/stop - I've tried everything!!!!!
YOU GUYS. I've read through Apple support forums, Reddit threads, watched YouTube videos, and sat on the phone with Apple support - to no avail.
I have a 2025 Mazda CX30, which I've owned for 1 year and 4 months. Multiple iPhones have successfully paired with this car and have been operational until a week ago.
Now my car has become a black hole for internet. Browsers don't work, Spotify streaming is glitchy, apps are useless. At least maps and phone/text work but not having access to streaming music/podcasts is driving me crazy!!
I have tried: Rebooting and hard resetting the phone, returning car to factory settings, "forgetting" the car in the iPhone Bluetooth and CarPlay sections, ensuring I don't have any content/privacy restrictions, ensuring that phone and car software are up-to-date, am using an Apple cable in a data streaming port in the car, have cleaned out the port in the car, don't have a case that blocks the cable, Siri is fully enabled, forgot the phone in car Bluetooth pairing, put phone in airplane mode, disabled cellular Wifi assist, don't have VPN, reset network settings on phone, cellular data is enabled, low data mode is off, low power mode is off, have no IP to delete in Configure DNS, date and time are correct on phone and car, all apps are up-to-date.
