One kitten or two?
I lost my best buddy, Atlas, of only 4 years the other week. My heart is broken. Before Atlas, I had a sweet little girl named Tika, who had extra toes. She lived to be 16.
I’ve only been a one-cat cat lady. But I may have an opportunity to get two litter mates. I think I could go either way on the pros and cons of litter mates, but I think if I ever want to have two cats, I’d prefer that I know they will already like each other. I would hate to introduce a second cat in a couple years and have it go bust.
I know all y’all are gonna go quick to “Two kittens! Because two is more than one! And more cats is better!” But I really do want to do what’s best.
My place is tiny. Am I gonna need three litter boxes for two kittens that currently share one? Is there a chance they will grow up to resent each other? What are y’all’s experiences?
