Asking about full time comp during internship

this summer I'll be interning at a top MM in a QT-adjacent role. this is the first time this role has been opened to an internship and there arent that many of them at this firm, so I haven't been able to get full time numbers. the compensation is lower than the comp for the QT interns. the role seems like a great fit for me, but due to the lower comp in the internship, its giving me the feeling that the full-time comp will also be lower, even though both this role and QT have the same base full time salary. is it appropriate to ask about full time compensation during the internship? the reason I'm asking is because If it seems to be significantly lower, I'd want to try and pivot internally or externally to QT or QR, and then I could make that clear.

switching to software after quant?

this summer I am incoming as a qt at a top firm. the previous summer I worked as a swe for a local company. I was wondering if it is still viable to recruit for swe this upcoming cycle, or if trading will deter potential interviews for swe roles.
