A lot of small businesses say they can’t find good employees.

I honestly think a lot of them are losing people instead.

And benefits are usually part of that conversation whether owners want to admit it or not.

Been digging into what smaller Texas companies are actually offering right now and it’s interesting how wide the gap is.

Some companies are spending money in the wrong places.
Others think “we’re too small for benefits.”
Meanwhile the smarter operators are using benefits as a retention tool.

Put together a breakdown here:

Curious what business owners here are seeing right now.

Are employees asking more questions about benefits than they were a few years ago?

Why did you even get a website

Serious question.

What is your website actually doing for your business besides existing?

Getting leads?
Helping sales?
Building trust?
Anything?

Or was it mostly just:
“Businesses are supposed to have websites.”

Feels like AI search is exposing a lot of weak websites right now.

Curious what role other business owners think their website actually plays today.
