Hi everyone, first and foremost, I know it looks gross, ITS NOT URINE, it looks wet in the photo because I just got done trying to scrub it off with Go-Gone.
I bought a house, and I don’t know what this is. I cannot figure out what it is, it has no smell, and it doesn’t chip off. It’s rough to the touch. I think it’s some kind of plumbers glue or grease that got smeared on there and sat for so long It has just adhere to the toilet.
I have tried multiple different cleaners, magic erasers, a putty knife, I’ve tried to soak it in vinegar, goo gone, CRL, acetone, every generic bathroom cleaner- I cannot get this off! It’s so unsightly and I can’t hide it. It looks gross and I have no idea what to do besides buy a new toilet- which is not in the budget. I would appreciate any help or tips that I could get because this is making me crazy. I’ve never been defeated before.
