▲ 7 r/ponds
I’ve been tweaking my small backyard pond setup over the past few months, mainly trying to deal with murky water and that stagnant look during hotter days. One thing that actually made a noticeable difference was adding a pond aerator didn’t expect it to help as much as it did with both clarity and smell. I ended up going with a Scott Aerator unit after seeing it mentioned a few times, and so far it’s been pretty solid in terms of keeping the water moving.
Still figuring out the balance between aeration, plants, and filtration though, especially with algae trying to creep back in. Curious how others here are managing circulation are you relying mostly on aerators, waterfalls, or something else?
